Basketball Rules and Regulations

Basketball is a team sport, where two teams comprising of five active players try to score points against one another. Points get scored by throwing a ball through a high hoop under organized Basketball rules. The team with more points wins at the end of the game. The objective of the game is to score more than the opponents by throwing the ball through the opponents' basket from above while at the same time , each team players have to prevent the opponents from doing so on their own. According to the official Baseball rules, points are scored by passing the ball through the basket from above. The ball can be advanced bouncing it across the court or passing it between teammates.

Any physical contact which can be disruptive is considered a foul and is not permitted under Baseball rules and regulations. There are also restrictions on how the ball should be handled.

Fouls are considered illegal and are most commonly committed by defensive players. However, they can be committed by offensive players as well. Players who are fouled against, may either receive the ball to pass inbounds again, or receive one or more free throws according to the Basketball rules. The team players are awarded one point for making a free throw, which is attempted from a 4.5 m line from the basket.

In case a team surpasses the limit of four team fouls in a quarter, the opposing team gets awarded one or two free throws on all subsequent fouls for that period. Well, there are the basic official Baseball rules of the game.
